Pitkäpelto
Farm Museum

The
Farm Museum is located in the Paappala village 18 km from
the main village.
The
museum encompasses all the buildings typical to a peasant
farm (main building, twelve outbuildings and a windmill)
in a working environment. The last farming family left the
farm in 1960.
The
farm was restored and turned into a museum for the first
time as early as 1967-1968 and the latest extensive
restoration work was started in the early 1990s under the
supervision of the National Board of Antiquities and
Historical Monuments.
The
PitkäpeIto Farm Museum is open on July Sundays 12.00 -
15.00. Groups at other times by prior booking.
