The Kutemajärvi Nature Trail

The trail is ideal for hiking and getting to know a typical wooded Savo landscape. The hiker will realise how versatile and fascinating an “ordinary” commercial forest can be. The main idea of the trail is not to illustrate specialities of nature, but you will find them too.

The nature trail starts and ends in the Kutemajärvi village about 15 km towards Pieksämäki from the main village of Kangasniemi. The trail is 11 km long but there is a short cut if the hike feels too long. The trail is clearly marked.
